Character Timeline

This timeline covers the birth of a selection of characters whose ages are known. It isn't a comprehensive listing of all characters' birthdates; some characters, like Mystique and Loren, will probably never be assigned definite years of birth. It also tracks only the two oldsters whose lives are well-documented, both because they're my characters and I know them, and because they are two of the major pivots of the universe... and because people like Mr. Sinister, who are also very influential, have far more mysterious histories.

The observant viewer will notice that this timeline brings us up to 1980 for the creation of the All New All Different team. The Marvel Universe itself started (the first flight of the Fantastic Four) in about 1973 or 1974 by this timeline. I tend to assign more time to the MU than its writers do; I would assume that as of present day, the MU has lasted for 15 years. This would, by this timeline, set "present day" in 1988 or 1989. Of course, we have a while to go before we get to "present day"!
